Woodpecker Packaging – Website Terms, Delivery & Returns Policies

This document sets out the legally compliant Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, and Custom Orders Policy for woodpeckerpackaging.co.uk. These terms are designed to comply with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.


1. General Terms & Conditions (Website Terms of Use)

1. Definitions

"We", "Us", "Our" – Woodpecker Packaging UK, trading as woodpeckerpackaging.co.uk
"Customer" – any individual or business placing an order
"Consumer" – an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft, or profession
"Business Customer" – any customer acting for business purposes
"Goods" – all products supplied by us
"Working Days" – Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays


2. Use of Website

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use this website and place orders.

2.2 You agree not to misuse the website, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt site operations.

2.3 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.


3. Product Information

3.1 Product descriptions, specifications, images, colours, and dimensions are for guidance only.

3.2 Slight variations in colour, material finish, print quality, and dimensions may occur due to manufacturing tolerances and do not constitute defects.


4. Orders & Contract Formation

4.1 Orders placed via the website constitute an offer to purchase.

4.2 A legally binding contract is formed only once we issue an order confirmation email.

4.3 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders due to pricing errors, stock availability, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions, or system errors.


5. Prices & Payment

5.1 All prices are shown in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

5.2 Payment must be received in full prior to dispatch.

5.3 We reserve the right to amend prices at any time without notice.


6. Delivery

7. Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy below.


8. Custom Orders

Custom-made, personalised, or made-to-order products are governed by our Custom Orders Policy below.


9. Business Customers

Where the customer is acting for business purposes, statutory consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not apply.


10. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, logos, and graphics, remains our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.


11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the order.

11.3 We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including loss of profit or business interruption.


12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, strikes, courier failures, pandemics, acts of government, or system outages.


13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.


2. Shipping & Delivery Policy

2.1 Scope

These terms apply to all UK and international deliveries.


2.2 Delivery Address

2.2.1 Orders will be delivered to the address provided at checkout.

2.2.2 Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. Address changes must be requested within 2 hours of placing an order or at least 4 hours before the 12:00 noon cut-off time for UK orders, and 6 hours before cut-off for international orders.

2.2.3 Address change requests must be sent by email to sales@woodpeckerpackaging.co.uk.

2.2.4 Incorrect addresses provided by the customer after dispatch are the customer's responsibility.


2.3 Dispatch & Lead Times

2.3.1 Stocked items are normally dispatched within 1–2 working days following order confirmation.

2.3.2 Dispatch times are estimates only and not guaranteed.


2.4 Delivery Times

2.4.1 Delivery estimates are provided for guidance only and are not guaranteed.

2.4.2 UK deliveries typically occur between 08:00 – 20:00 (Monday to Friday).

2.4.3 Customers unavailable during delivery windows may incur redelivery or storage charges.

2.4.4 International delivery windows depend on local courier operations.


2.5 Failed Deliveries

2.5.1 Failed deliveries caused by incorrect address, refusal, or non-availability will incur re-delivery, return shipping, and administration charges.

2.5.2 Where a delivery is lost in transit, a replacement will be dispatched only after the courier confirms the loss.


3. Returns & Refunds Policy

3.1 Consumer Right to Cancel

Consumers have the right to cancel standard (non-custom) orders within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

3.2 Returns Process

Customers must email sales@woodpeckerpackaging.co.uk to obtain a Returns Authorisation Number before sending goods back.

Returned goods must be received within 14 days of approval.


3.3 Condition of Returns

Goods must be returned unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the goods are faulty.


3.4 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving and inspecting returned goods.


3.5 Exclusions

The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to:

  • Custom-made or personalised products

  • Business-to-business purchases

  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return once unsealed


4. Custom Orders Policy

4.1 Custom orders include made-to-measure packaging, bespoke printing, branding, labelling, or any non-stock specification.

4.2 Custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable unless defective or not manufactured to agreed specifications.

4.3 Manufacturing tolerances apply: slight colour variation, dimensional tolerances of ±8%, and minor print variation are not considered defects.

4.4 Customers must approve artwork and specifications prior to production. We are not responsible for errors in approved artwork.

4.5 Orders may be cancelled within 48 hours of payment, provided production has not commenced.
